iRobot sues SharkNinja for patent infringement saying that their device mimics their iRobot navigation technology. The US Trade Commission sides with Roomba Corporation, maker of the iRobot and bans imports of the SharkNinja operating LLC robot vacuums that infringe a patent owned by Roomba corporation. iRobot CEO Colin Angle said in a statement that the company is pleased with the decision and import ban. SharkNinja attorney Brian Rosenthal said the related patent issued only related to a feature on one device already removed and claims the order will have “zero impact” on their (SharkNinja) ability to sell products. President Biden has 60 days to stop the ban but this is said to rarely happen in these cases.
