A Tesla fan filed a trademark for the company on their behalf seemingly without their knowledge. In summary, Tesla (automaker) did file for a new trademark that extended its category to market electric motors “not for land vehicles,” but also specifies that it does not currently use the trademark for those categories but the company “intends to use” it in the near future. This would include motors for airplanes, boats and toys. Tesla-CEO Elon Musk claims to have a design for an eVTOL aircraft but is focused on ground vehicles for now.
