DraftKings was sued on May 9, 2025, by Texas-based Micro-Gaming Ventures for allegedly infringing on five patents related to micro-betting and location-based wagering. The patents cover technology for placing bets during live sporting events. The lawsuit, filed in New Jersey, follows DraftKings’ 2024 acquisition of micro-betting firm SimpleBet. Micro-Gaming is seeking damages and a jury trial.
